DescriptionFinal project, section ; Engraving by Sellier, from "L'Architecture de C.N. Ledoux.", edited with an introduction by Daniel Ramee, 2 vols. (Paris: Lenoir editeur, 5 quai Malaquais, 1847), plate 78. This section shows the proscenium arch and the scene of the basilica with a reflected view of the auditorium in the background, designed by Ledoux for the opening ceremonies of 1784. The theater was destroyed by fire on April 29, 1958.
