BeschreibungThe Ideal Theater: Eight Concepts was on view at the Museum of Contemporary Craft from January 27 - March 4, 1962. The exhibition grew out of the 1959 Ford Foundation Program for Theater Design and was prepared to circulate by The American Federation of Arts. Selected artists and collaborators were: Ralph Alswang and Paul Rudolph; Eldon Elder and Edward Durell Stone; Barrie Greenbie and Elizabeth Harris; David Hays and Peter Blake; George C. Izenour and Paul Schweikher; Frederick J. Kiesler; Jo Mielziner and Edward L. Barnes; and Ben Schlanger and Donald Oenslager.
