Digitally networking media libraries of the performing arts (mv:dk) is a project of the Johann Christian Senckenberg University Library / Specialised Information Service for Performing Arts and the International Theatre Institute Germany Berlin / Media Library for Dance and Theatre in collaboration with the Scientific Video Library and Audio Library of the Institute for Theatre, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna.
The aim of the project is to digitally combine metadata on audiovisual holdings of the performing arts, which are distributed among theatre and dance institutes at universities, art colleges, or media archives in Germany. By setting up a central research access via the FID portal www.performing-arts.eu, it will be possible to research information on audiovisual media and the performances and events of the performing arts represented in them.
