The service is free of charge for researchers and institutions in the field of theatre and dance studies and documentation. It includes the provision of technical infrastructure, long-term storage of content and links to relevant databases and reference systems.
Thewis, the online Journal of the Society for Theatre Studies (gtw), was the first OJS-based journal to be launched in 2022.
Open Journal Systems (OJS)
The Open Journal Systems (OJS) software allows web-based design and management of electronic journals, working papers and other regularly published digital publications. All editorial work is supported - from submitting an article to reviewing and publishing. The OJS interface is available in several languages.
As the sponsoring institution of the FID Performing Arts, the Johann Christian Senckenberg University Library ensures the basic setup and hosting of the platform. The introduction to the operation of OJS and the maintenance of the infrastructure are part of the FID service.
An overview of the journals that the UB JCS currently hosts can be found at https://www.ub.uni-frankfurt.de/publizieren/ojs.html.
