FORUM+ is a journal that showcases peer-reviewed artistic research from various fields in an open access format. It is available both online and in print, and it reflects the dynamic and diverse nature of artistic research, an area of growing importance within higher arts education worldwide.

FORUM+ is primarily aimed at researchers, teachers, and students in Higher Arts Education across artistic disciplines. Simultaneously, it endeavours to make current developments in artistic research more accessible to a wider audience of art enthusiasts. To achieve this, FORUM+ seeks to deliver accessibility in form and content, positioning itself in between an academic and a cultural journal.

Publish in FORUM+

FORUM+ publishes articles and visual essays that are the result of original research. The editors are also open to short contributions, such as artistic texts, interviews and contemplative essays. In this way FORUM+ offers a platform for the multitude of forms in which research in the arts is currently being expressed.

FORUM+ also publishes in-depth reviews about books, CDs, DVDs, exhibitions, theatre, opera, dance, and other performances related to artistic research.

FORUM+ only publishes original contributions, i.e. contributions that have not been published elsewhere in the same form or language.

Finished contributions in Dutch or English can be directed to the editors via redactie@forum-online.be. With each deadline, we welcome both open contributions and contributions adding to a new or existing dossier.

Articles are peer reviewed.
